緬甸終於表示願意跟其他國家對話，找出解決難民經海上逃出緬甸的方法。緬甸也會出席下星期在泰國曼谷舉行的，解決羅興亞海上難民問題的會談。

馬來西亞和印尼的外長今天將訪問緬甸。美國副國務卿布林肯也將會晤緬甸官員。昨天，馬來西亞和印尼表示將暫時收容七千名難民。

布林肯說，他將跟緬甸討論緬甸歧視羅興亞族的政策。外界認為，羅興亞人多年來飽受迫害，是形成這波難民潮的主因。

不過，緬甸重申不承認羅興亞人的立場。緬甸認為羅興亞人是孟加拉去的非法移民，不是緬甸公民。
